  "Playing With Purpose" is a ministry founded by Rod Thompson, former point guard at The University of Tulsa and Lee Mayberry, former guard for The University of Arkansas, as well as the Milwaukee Bucks and Vancouver Grizzlies of the NBA.  The mission of this ministry is to equip young men and women with not only the tools necessary to be successful in Basketball, but more importantly, the tools necessary to be successful in life. Playing on all levels, from high school to the pros, success on the court is only possible through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

  The mission of PWP is to equip young men and women with not only the tools to be successful in basketball, but, more importantly, with the tools to be successful in life.  Through this ministry, students will receive daily scripture and prayer, discuss family values and learn how to win others to Christ.  PWP desires to use the gift of basketball to motivate, assist, restore, transform and grow a generation of young people on fire for Jesus Christ.  PWP strives to shape a generation that excels athletically and a academically, but first and foremost spiritually.

  The Book of Jeremiah: Chapter 29 verse 11 says: "For I know the plans that I have for you, saith the Lord......."

   That the light of young men and women would shine brightly knowing that they can achieve the victory, not only on the court, but in the classroom, and most importantly, in life. "Playing With Purpose" desires to show the importance of hard work and the goals, which can be achieved when it is mixed with a solid spiritual foundation. The end result is young men and women that not only have their hands raised in victory by their Basketball coach, but ultimately…when the last second has elapsed in the game of life…that one great coach, Jesus Christ, would raise their hands in ultimate victory and proclaim: "Well done, you have played with purpose and I am well pleased."

Private Lesson:  $50 per hour
Group Lesson (2 students):  $35 per hour/student
